Sauti Kuu’s Goat Breeding Project began with two goats and the aim of offering an affordable and nutritious alternative to cattle farming. To accomplish this, Sauti Kuu provides comprehensive training in goat farming. To date, 225 young people and 55 parents have had an opportunity to learn all about farming with these animals, the production of goat’s milk and breeding improvements through cross-fertilization. They also received instruction in the use of goat manure as fertilizer and can use this information to improve their vegetable-growing operations.
