The Greenhouse Project

Kenja

The greenhouse was built as a pilot project in 2012 using low-cost materials. It is used to produce non-indigenous crops that are in turn sold at market to generate an income. The objective is to show community members that they too can produce Crops to take to market and not just for their own consumtion.

A variety of vegetables are grown in the greenhouse, such as green peppers, broccoli and onions – as well as tomatoes, which present a genuine challenge!
