SKF Energy-Saver Kendo Project

Sauti Kuu has initiated an energy-saving project to address this issue. The project aims to reduce firewood usage for domestic cooking by teaching beneficiaries how to build their own open kitchens and energy-saver stoves. This approach encourages the use of twigs and branches from live trees, reducing the need to cut down trees for cooking.

Sauti Kuu Vocational Training Centre

The Sauti Kuu vocational education partnership was initiated by Dr. Auma Obama. This three-year project, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through sequa gGmbH, aims to empower vocational training institutions in Kenya, starting with the Sauti Kuu Vocational Training Centre, to offer practical vocational orientation and qualifications. Sauti Kuu has been working in partnership with the Education Centre of the Bavarian Economy (bbw) gGmbH on the project.

Ongoing Program Activities

Sauti Kuu's core objective is to alleviate poverty and bring sustainable economic development to the region in which we operate so that the children and young people who live there can have a future without having to leave their rural homes. This we do by tapping into already available assets, such as land, a valuable resource, and the potential of the young people.
